Environmentally Friendly

Indoor air quality is frequently cited as one of the top concerns for homeowners who are evaluating environmentally friendly building products. One of the best ways to protect the air quality in our homes is to select products which minimize the release of fumes and gases into the air our families and friends breathe.

Formaldehyde is a chemical that is often used in the manufacture of building products for our homes. For some people, formaldehyde may be an irritant which may cause health concerns.

Mold is another common household irritant which has been known to cause health issues. Mold spores thrive in dark, moist areas so it’s important to consider moisture-resistant materials when building or remodeling your home in order to minimize the environments where mold may grow.

When you select from the Access Cabinetry Collection, you can be assured that your new cabinetry features premium, industrial-grade furniture board which contains no added urea-formaldehyde. This material not only reduces formaldehyde emissions, it is also moisture-resistant to minimize the potential for mold growth. This material far exceeds even the most stringent current standards for building materials to protect indoor air quality. Plus, the material construction promotes an efficient use of natural resources as they are made from 100% pre-consumer recycled and reclaimed wood particles.

You may select from three thermofoil finish options for your Access Cabinetry doors. When your thermofoil finish is applied to the door material, the inner core is effectively sealed, thus creating a moisture-resistant barrier that also reduces MDF core emissions significantly.

Sometimes it is the simple and small choices we make in our homes that can make a world of difference. Access Cabinetry has chosen to lead the way by selecting products to ensure continued environmental stewardship.
